Mein erster Arbeitstag.

Es ist Montagmorgen. Mein erster Arbeitstag in einer neuen Firma! Ich bin nervös, aber auch aufgeregt. Ich ziehe meine beste Kleidung an, frühstücke und überprüfe noch einmal die Adresse der Firma.

Dann gehe ich zur Bushaltestelle. Aber… oh nein! Ich habe den falschen Bus genommen! Ich steige schnell aus und suche nach dem richtigen Bus. Jetzt bin ich spät dran! Ich laufe zur Firma – hoffentlich merkt es niemand…

Endlich bin ich da! Meine neue Chefin, Frau Schmidt, wartet schon. Sie lächelt und sagt: „Willkommen! Schön, dass Sie da sind.“

Ich atme auf. Alles gut! Dann sehe ich meine neuen Kollegen. Ich strecke die Hand aus, aber sie winken nur und sagen: „Hallo!“ Ups! In dieser Firma gibt man sich wohl nicht die Hand. Schnell lasse ich meine Hand wieder sinken und winke auch.

Nach der Begrüßung bekomme ich einen Kaffee. Perfekt – das brauche ich jetzt! Aber… oh nein! Ich stoße mit meinem Ellbogen an die Tasse, und der Kaffee kippt auf den Tisch!

Mein Kollege lacht und sagt: „Kein Problem, das passiert jedem mal!“ Ich hole schnell ein Tuch und putze den Tisch. Mein Gesicht ist rot, aber wenigstens sind alle nett.

Endlich Mittagspause! Ich hole mein Essen aus der Tasche und sage laut: „Guten Appetit!“

Aber… keiner antwortet. Alle schauen mich kurz an und lächeln. Dann sagt meine Kollegin: „Oh, du bist schnell! Normalerweise sagen wir das erst, wenn alle ihr Essen haben.“ Ups! Wieder was gelernt!

Dann frage ich: „Darf ich mich hier hinsetzen?“ Meine Kollegen lachen. Einer sagt: „Natürlich! Hier gibt es keine festen Plätze.“ Das ist neu für mich – in meiner alten Firma hatte jeder seinen Platz.

Nach der Pause soll ich eine E-Mail an einen wichtigen Kunden schreiben. Ich tippe langsam und kontrolliere alles. Dann drücke ich auf „Senden“. Aber… oh nein! Ich habe den Namen falsch geschrieben!

Schnell schreibe ich eine neue E-Mail mit einer Entschuldigung. Mein Kollege sagt: „Keine Sorge! Das passiert vielen am Anfang.“ Puh! Ich bin erleichtert.

Der Arbeitstag ist vorbei. Es gab kleine Missgeschicke, aber das ist okay. Meine Kollegen sind nett, und ich habe viel gelernt. Morgen wird bestimmt besser!

My first day at work.

It’s Monday morning. My first day at a new company! I’m nervous but also excited. I put on my best clothes, have breakfast, and check the company’s address one more time.

Then I go to the bus stop. But… oh no! I took the wrong bus! I quickly get off and look for the right one. Now I’m running late! I rush to the company—hopefully, no one notices…

Finally, I arrive! My new boss, Ms. Schmidt, is already waiting. She smiles and says, “Welcome! Nice to have you here.”

I take a deep breath. Everything is fine! Then I see my new colleagues. I reach out to shake hands, but they just wave and say, “Hello!” Oops! It seems that in this company, people don’t shake hands. I quickly lower my hand and wave back instead.

After the introductions, I get a coffee. Perfect—that’s exactly what I need right now! But… oh no! I bump the cup with my elbow, and the coffee spills all over the table!

My colleague laughs and says, “No problem, that happens to everyone!” I quickly grab a cloth and clean the table. My face is red, but at least everyone is friendly.

Finally, it’s lunchtime! I take my food out of my bag and say loudly, “Enjoy your meal!”

But… no one responds. They just glance at me and smile. Then my colleague says, “Oh, you’re quick! Normally, we say that after everyone has their food.” Oops! Another lesson learned!

Then I ask, “May I sit here?” My colleagues laugh. One of them says, “Of course! We don’t have assigned seats here.” That’s new for me—in my old company, everyone had their own place.

After lunch, I have to write an email to an important client. I type slowly and check everything carefully. Then I press “Send.” But… oh no! I misspelled the client’s name!

I quickly write a new email with an apology. My colleague says, “Don’t worry! That happens to a lot of people at the beginning.” Phew! I’m relieved.

The workday is over. There were some small mishaps, but that’s okay. My colleagues are nice, and I’ve learned a lot. Tomorrow will definitely be better!
